The twelve days of Christmas (also known as "Twelvetide") follow the Christian calendar from Christmas through January 5 (twelfth night), which concludes the following day in Epiphany, the day Christians celebrate the coming of the wise men to visit the baby Jesus. Twelve days are standard, but in some Christin denominations, celebrations last longer than the twelve days of Christmas inclusive, with January 6y being the thirteenth day. Nevertheless, it's a big celebration in most European countries; the twelve days celebrate each day as a feast day for a saint or have different festivals.
